i have heard that country home magazine will be closing...a sign of our times i'm afraid. as you all know country home isn't the magazine i promote, for country living magazine and it's staff are who have supported me over the years...but occasionally i have shown a picture from country home for it is hard to resist...
i cannot tell you how many hours my girlfriends and i have gone over magazines, pointing out just the perfect piece to each other...and the echoes of "oh let's try this" i can still remember - for i have been reading decorating magazines for 30 years now...my oh my.
magazines are inspirational - the photos and/or the articles move you to try something different, ideas from cooking to crafts and holiday celebrations - they are also a bond between girlfriends, moms and sisters... i thought the current feb. issue of country home had a beautiful cover - the perfect cover...the transition of style of antique, contemporary and just plain fun is the perfect goodbye to all of us...and i think the title is fitting "live with what you love and get rid of the rest"...
