ok, i admit it....i'm an all white light person - it just says winter to me....but my favorite house in the neighborhood is right around the turn - they use those 'old old' color bulbs and they have just one strand that they string haphazardly along the front of the house...believe me when i say haphazardly - but as i drive by it makes me smile, the house is full of kids of all ages, and their lights are just, well, fitting...
sit back and have some fun with christmas lights....(thanks dad!)

I have good intentions of updating my blog more often, but I am spending
more time with family rather than crafting, making, home decorating,
gardening…. T...

When I was a child, I think the only choice was colored lights. We had big bulbs very different from the tiny cool to the touch lights of today. I'm with you. I prefer the tiny white lights on my Christmas trees and outside on houses and trees. We don't have Christmas lights outside, but I think we may be the only house in our neighborhood. LOL It's like a fairy land around here. Thanks for sharing all the Christmas lights. ~ Sarah
Those are some very creative light displays! I agree I like all white lights too. Some years we didn't have lights, sometimes we just didn't have them and some years we didn't have electricity. No, I'm not THAT old ~ I'm 42, but my parents chose not to have electricity some places where we lived. When we didn't have lights, we had icicles on the tree... those long, flowy, wispy tinsel icicles... and my mom would take her time and drape them one by one on the cedar tree that she or daddy had brought in from the woods. The icicles were magical in the lamplight!
